Interview

Only those who are successful in the order of merit in the written exam will be called for the interview. MEDICAL STANDARDS

Candidates recommended by the interview board will undergo a medical examination by a board of medical officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the Institute, who are declared fit by the Medical Board.

  • If a candidate is more than 20% more or less than his prescribed weight, he will be given a temporary rejection and will be given an opportunity to reduce his weight to acceptable weight standards.
  • Chest should be well developed. A fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cm. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm.
  • There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.
  • Spinal Conditions: A thorough clinical examination of the spine, including its shape, local tenderness, if any, spinal movements, etc., is to be carried out.
  • The candidate should have no past history of medical breakdown or fits.
  • The hearing should be normal.
  • There should be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Blood pressure should be normal.
  • The muscles of the abdomen should be well developed.
  • An unoperated hernia will make a candidate unfit.
  • There should be no hydrocele, varicocele, or pile.
  • Urine examination will be done, and any abnormality detected will be a cause for rejection.
